We are happy to report that the inaugural TRG charity event was a rousing success! So far we have managed to raise £465.55 for Red Nose Day, as well as a local environmental charity called Brighton Permaculture. We are pleased to be contributing to the fantastic work done by Comic Relief abroad, as well as in the UK. We also feel that Brighton Permaculture’s environmental objectives fit nicely with our own values in sustainability and corporate social responsibility.
Fund raising events and activities included a cake bake, a clothes swap, a raffle (with prizes generously donated by a selection of local shops), donations from the London office, and a prize for the best fancy dress costume. We also have plans for ongoing charitable endeavours in our offices including a used stamp collection, a book exchange corner where books can be taken for a small donation, and an ink cartridge recycling scheme that will support Inking About Africa – a charity that helps children and schools in The Gambia.
Many thanks to the following local businesses for their generous contributions: Pen to Paper, io Gallery, Rainbow Books, Choccywoccydoodah.
Membership of the newly created TRG Charity Group will rotate in order to give everybody a chance to help causes that matter to them and the company as a whole – so watch this space for further exciting developments and crazy costumes over the coming months!
